Grace and Mark Wedding in Syrencot
Whilst I love photographing weddings all over the world, Wiltshire holds a special place in my heart, with its beautiful countryside and endless places to visit and explore. And as a Wiltshire based wedding photographer, I am truly blessed to be surrounded by so many stunning wedding venues in my local area. There is so much to think of when you are choosing a wedding venue, but it is easy to see why Grace and Mark fell in love with Syrencot. Why choose between contemporary and classic, when getting married at Syrencot Country Wedding Venue offers you the perfect balance of both with its Georgian House, Walled Garden, Glasshouse and contemporary Barn. Syrencot is undoubtedly stunning all year round, but in Summer, it is divine. Grace and Mark were blessed with cloudless blue skies on their August wedding day and not a drop of rain in sight.
The atmosphere was full of excitement as Grace spent the morning getting ready with her five amazing bridesmaids in the spacious bridal suite. With Grace in white and the bridesmaids wearing matching blue pyjamas, there was plenty of fun and time for a few selfies too. Mark got ready with his groomsmen in a nearby room, making it easy for me to capture the only part of the day they didn’t get to share. As the boys headed off to the ceremony, I snuck back to the bride to capture Grace’s dad, seeing his daughter in her wedding dress for the first time. Weddings are all about emotions to me, and I absolutely love first looks.
The Ceremony
The guests gathered in the Glasshouse, allowing them to admire the stunning grounds and summer florals in bloom. Though the adorable page boys threatened to steal the show, all eyes were on Grace as she glided into the room and took everyone’s breath away and brought a tear to Mark’s eyes. I love shooting in venues like the Glasshouse as the light is amazing, making it perfect for photographs. The ceremony may have started with a tear, but the emotion didn’t end there, with smiles, laughs and quite a few hugs in a room bursting with love.
After being showered in confetti and congratulations from friends and family, I snuck Grace and Mark away for a short portrait session. With such a stunning wedding venue, Syrencot has a lot to offer when taking couple portraits. We temporarily escaped the summer sun and took advantage of the grandeur of the Georgian House before embracing the sun once again as we headed to the Walled Garden.
It was then off to the contemporary barn for some delicious food and some hilarious speeches.
The love continued to flow throughout the day and long into the night. This was certainly a day to remember.
