Engagement Shoots

Engagement shoots, pre-wedding shoots or e-shoots are growing in popularity and often come as standard with wedding photography packages now. So here is a bit more information to help you understand why you should think about having one.

An engagement shoot is essentially a portrait photography session that will normally last 1 to 2 hours. The idea behind it is for you and your photographer to get to know each other a bit better before the big day and for you to get the feel of what it is like to be in front of the camera.

I love engagement sessions for this very reason.  It gives me a chance to get to know you a bit better, allowing me to produce a more personal set of images from your wedding. I also find that couples who have done an engagement shoot are more relaxed for the photos on the big day itself. Because of this I encourage all my couples to take up the opportunity and come and join me in a great location for a few hours of photography. The results are an intimate, real set of images and one less thing to worry about on the day itself. You will be prepared, relaxed and a natural in front of the camera already.
